Kids Surprise Spring Break

The boys are going to New England!!!

If you all have read THIS, you know I deeply miss my brother.

We are a tight family and his relocation to Boston has proved straining on us all. My mother and my boys have shown more sadness then myself and my dad. We are the "suffering on the inside" kind of folks.

So, this afternoon my mom called me to share with me how she missed my brother, how he must be skinny from not eating a proper meal and that he needs help with finding a new house and settling in. The moment I rolled my eyes I knew that ALL mothers have the same worries and thoughts plaguing them while their kids are away from them. I felt like a total jerk.

I researched some airline tickets and in less then 15mins. had my mom and the boys all booked up for Spring Break. They leave next week.

My dad and I won't get to see BOS this time around. We'll be working to make these little adventures possible and missing the family. But I look forward to going the later part of April and start exploring what can be my new home in a year. WHOOO!

Oh, did I mention that @DonnieWahlberg is from Dorchester, MA #LOVE =D

I'm in love!!!

DIY Chalkboard Desk

Jacobs been needed a quiet spot in the house where he can study and get homework done everyday. Plan: Find a desk!
This summer has been full of great finds and small projects around the house getting things in order for fall and they holidays. Last week I found this desk while treasure hunting with my mom for $1.00

I needed the pegs that hold the legs in place, re-glued, sanded down just a bit then I painted the bottom part of the desk first upside down.

I taped a perfect square on the top and added the BLACK chalkboard paint. Man, I put it on thick! I love the raised edges.

I noticed that the white was showing some grain next to the BLACK. I don't know... the boys didn't notice it, but I did.

I was forced to tape over the chalkboard paint (perfectly lined up to the BLACK) to avoid any bleeding.

All done. Jacobs homework center for the coming school year.

Psst: I can't stop thinking HOLIDAYS! I've already starting planning and shopping from; what tree to get, went to HOB LOB to find new Christmas decorations since they are on sale. Oh and I ordered some Christmas presents last week and they are hiding in the basement TeeHee
I keep thinking CHRISTMAS!! HELP =D

Baby and Mami date night

I wish I could share Jacob w/ the world. He is so inspiring, lovable, patient, fun, daring, gentle and yet he's has quite the character.

Time for a bit of show boating =D

Jacob; enjoys reading, drawing, models, swimming, traveling, rollercoasters, kung fu and guitar lessons.

He has so much personality. He's respectful and very obidient. I have never ever gotten a complaint about his behavior or in general. He's a good listerner and I enjoy every second I spend w/ him. So, it was time for a Jacob and mami day. Jacob will change the world!!!

We started off w/ Craigs Cruisers. Wish I would have thought of taking pictures but we were too busy having fun.

Then we were off to dinner and bowling.

Go Jacob! Knock them down!

Great shot buddy!

Oh oh, there was a curve in that.

So upset he couldn't strike, but hey you weren't too far off of score from your mami. =D

Checking the score board...

I don't remember the scores, but trust me when I say; it really wasn't too far off of mine *embarrased grin*

I will try to start sharing more on the boys because they are just halarious and they are so lovable! My cup runneth over w/ how much everyone wants to be a part of their lives.
