My Crazy Life and New Focus! - Life Changing

Hey ya'll! it's been a while...

I've been on a journey. Physically, emotional and financially.

What a great ride!

I'm enjoying every second of it. It's rewarding and empowering when your hard work starts to pay off.

Physically; I'm on day 37 and I've lost 18lbs. I love my journey to transforming my body. I joined a Boot Camp and have taken up Cross Fit and walk/run (3 miles at 5:45am) hopefully, it'll turn into straight runs by end of July. My legs are killer. My arms are cutting thru. I've lost 6 inches around the waist. Damn, that is sexy! =D

I've cut ALL sugars, flour, wheat, pasta, potatoes and such. The first 2 weeks were tough. Then I plateau. Now my metabolism is on overdrive. My body is rewarding me.

In general; I'm focused on building muscle percentage and lowering BMI. NOT BEING SKINNY.
I enjoy my boobs and booty. I'm working really hard at not losing them, but improving them.

Here's my inspiration

Now, that's bad ass!

I'm up to 3 reps of 20 on the inclined pushups. SEXY!

Try 3 reps of 40 on this one

TRX- I'm strong so, TRX is a good time for me! =D

Annie Sakamoto is a beast and my top favorite!

Check out those guns- BOOM!

I'm still a fatty, but I not for long =D
Muscles cutting thru!

Thinner face to start matching the rest of me! Love it!

05/20/13
Two days later I was down 3lbs. What the what? Yep, that's right. It's Thursday and I'm at - 4 lbs. since Monday =D

I will lose 6 lbs. by next Friday because I'm telling my body what to do and fat where to go

It's works.

05/23/13

Its extreme (I'm an extremist), but going HARD works for me. Find what works for you and do not allow distractions!

Stay the course

Emotional; we all know physical and emotional are equivocally related.

I no longer accept others problems.

Although, I feel bad for peoples plights. I choose ME!

My friends were struggling with this, but they are very kind and respectful of my boundaries. I love them for that. They have supported me by respecting me focus. It's my journey and I need SILENCE!

The absence of other people’s problems has helped my relationships greatly. There is more room for emotional intimacy and I'm slowly becoming more emotionally intelligent.

Financially; Dave Ramsey. K.I.S.S.
Holy Shiat! =D

I'm glad I get to share this with you guys. It's been my dirty little secret.

Stay connected and share with me how you improved or plan to improve you.

Dramatic Gateway

This door was white and boring. I've wanted a black door for a couple of yrs. but was afraid to go thru w/ it. Then I thought... "it's paint!" plus isn't black the most authoritative color? and it conveys, drama and elegance so, what's the problem?

I did some research and found that when your seating direction and door is facing north you CAN paint your door BLACK or blue. And blue is just not MY color for a door. So, BLACK it was. YAY!

My friend, black paint.
All I needed was RustOleum. I went with the Semi-Gloss for added drama and reflective effect.
A foam roller, painters tape, paint brush and patience.

With the first stroke, I stopped and hoped I hadn't made a mistake in painting it so dramatically. Will it be to much next to chocolate wall? Will it be durable? Am I shrinking things by adding and using so much black?

Oh, who cares!? I absolutely acores the black door. It's so much more fun and chic then the boring ol' do' LOL **I'm currently working on some foliage for this room. The greenery is needed and it's on its  way.

PS: After much demand from my fellow Blog-ettes and friends, I will let Debbie continue her painting in my living room and fill that wall w/ Fluer de lis YAY!!

So, for now the living room is complete, check it all out HERE. Now back to the basement and then the kids rooms. Nelson my 11 yr old. wants a teen boys room. He's demands are realistic but they will require a lot of time and yet I have recruited Debbie to help. LOL

Please, let me know what you think, good, bad, suggestions and tips. All welcomed =)

Thanks for visiting!!

Great Wall of RoRo

Debbie came over and put her art on my focus wall. It was a fun filled Saturday night. There was wine, there was pizza, there was gossip, there was painting, laughter. I love what a group of powerful women can accomplish. We bring so much joy, happiness and strength to each other. I love my sisters!

They helped this inspiration become a reality!

Last week it was simple and a plain khaki wall.

I still lourve my solid maple buffet. There will be Before and After of this this in the next few week minus paint!
My mother told me that it is important to have pieces of furniture that are classic and will be in our home for a very long time. So, I'm afraid of messing w/ the authenticity of this buffet. But something has to be done, because it is truly too blasted yellow for me.

But check out the gain... It's devine!

POW! Ze wall

This wall is SICK! the picture does not do it justice... it's true chocolate and the stencils are Debbies art work. That girl has a steady hand =)
*Thanks Deb. I love what your do for your bestie LOL

Here's another shot

I will be upgrading to a true camera soon so, I will post clearer shot later. Did you notice the painted door? more on that HERE.

View from the kitchen.

I have to brag. Even my brother liked the changes... so he says LOL

Please, let me know what you think. Good or bad. Suggestions and tips your thoughts are welcomed =)

Thank you for Visiting!

Living Room Re-Re Do

I did like my mustard walls, but as you all know I've been craving and wanting a more calm, clean and open environment and my head is swimming w/ idears which makes it hard to concentrate on one style, color, furniture placement and such... and on those days I say "God, please bless me with a bigger house in the next few years." LOL But then I will love my little house. It's so full of love, strength, memories and stories. I can see my self there when I'm old and my grand kids come over to visit. =)

My living room was mustard which I believe made it appear smaller and frankly a bit to busy. OVERSTIMULATING during the day but dark and cozy at night. There lay my dilemma.

Here's the before:

See Jacob watching... you know what, Harry Potter for the gazziliouns time!

Putting the shelves up... that day was fun. I have the level and drill out ready for action... YAY!

Shelvs all done! *I am woman, hear me roar... * LOL

Getting all the jank out and getting it prepped for paint... Cheri standing by giving all the boys instructions on how to behave while moms are at work.

I had banana bread in Jacobs bowl and left it in the same spot for about 1 hr.

I used my celly fone for this picture, but I promise I will put new pictures up tonight when I get home from work.

1. sanded, painted trim and baseboards
2. sanded the walls

I decided to go w/ Behr Creamy Mushroom which looks delish on the walls. And it even changes shades depending on how the light reflects.

I also, decided to PURGE of all the stuff in the there that is unnecessary. Like 20 magazines on the extra side table that is not needed.  You'll notice the two side tables that I was using as a coffee is not no longer in the center. I've decided to only pull them out when I have guests over for cocktails and food. Then we will need it to set our things on.

Okay, I lourve my entertainment center... do you remember that I got it at the GW for $20. I couldn't even bring myself to haggle at that price so, I just paid it and collected it the next day.

I wish you could see the new knobs on the entertainment center(I'm hooked on these and want them in every piece of furniture I have in my house) they are fabush!! The boys and I absolutely lub them.

Here's a closer look...

Here's the other side of ze room

My favorite spot... it is like butter on me butt LOL
The entry door. It's in desperate need of some color

This buffet has cause me a many dilemmas. To paint or not to paint. To stain or not to stain. To sell or not to sell.

They stain is way too yellow for the direction I'm going, but the buffet is all bejewled! She's so precious w/ her bling on! ;)

That brown wall needs art... the stenceling kind of art... *my visions are going cray cray* and that buffet def. needs a paint job but I'm afraid of covering that purty maple wood *oh and it's a heavy piece to move from living room to garage* But it must be done... preferably before the holidays.

Blin-tasticlly delicious

How can knobs be so purty and excite me so? what are you're favorite knobs. Which by the way I bought for under .50cents each.

My GW finds ... loving clocks even though many say it's a feng shui no no. I heart them...

I wanted to add a pic of my mom & dad

Back to the purty glass knobs... ;)
They are so pretty and not feminine at all. They are big! and so masculine in a way...

I know this room seems boring, but trust me it it boringly clean, ample and open. I can comfortably fit the entire family in here for movie night. I just have to bring on the bean bags...

Roomba! my new friend. Every mommy should own one, really!

I'm trying to find a clear of crystal lamp to put in there, one that would perfectly match the knobs on the furniture.

I still have a few more idears floating around in my head and on paper. Once I make a few more adjustments I will share them to only you. My fellow bloggies.

Thanks for visiting!! Now, stick around and keep peeking thru...

An evening of treat the Kids

Night out w/ the kid and friends... and this is how we trick or treat!! =)

The kids all had a great time begging for food *cough* I mean candy *double cough* I meant trick or treating...lol

Jacob was... GASP, Harry Potter!

All the boys together, but my Duddle Bug was missing. He had a day w/ dad.

(Junior-Ninja, Jacob-Harry Potter, Tommy-Ninja & Ethan-Fisherman)

Jacob has been wearing and sleeping in this costume for days... he's so adore's =) I love that he enjoys those big boy movies.

See Ethan being cray cray? LOL

This was the Churches "Trick a trunk". It was uber interesting how they blocked off the parking lot and were super happy to see all the neighborhood kids w/ their costumes... I'll be sure to stop there again next yr.

This doggie was so terribly adore's and was so sweet to all the little men and girls.
Wish my doggie was 1/2 as nice =)

Cheri's teen... w/ out a costume and keeping it real LOL

I thought this little yellow house was so perfect. Too bad I'm not in the market.

I spied a playground and thought it perfect to let the kids run around like crazy and that they did! They were so cute and full of energy.

Then it was back to treating the kids. Even when the night got cold and super uber dark. ICK! But we got it done...

I think Ethan enjoyed himself, I wish you could see the waders he had on. They slowed him down and usually nothing does =)

Then we did it all over again on the other side of town... now this was great!

Here's Tio (Uncle) Nelson as Rasta Man but actually turned out to look more like Rick James w/ Jacob (Harry Potter) getting all geared up and pumped up to trick a treat.

they had the best treats, costumes and decorations that I've seen in a very long time. They put effort into making it a treat just to spot or go to their houses. What do you think?

I absolutely enjoyed all the amazing decorations this folks put out. Check out the HUGE spider!

I don't think Yvo expected to be petted on the head by this guy, he was funny!

This is one I might have to consider for next yr. but just picture the spider crawling up the side of the house... LOL

The lady at this house was so beautiful and gracious, I couldn't get a shot of her. But she filled Jacob bucket w/ tons of yummies.

This house had a theme inside but I didn't know what was in there so, we skipped that.. but the lights outside are awesome. The bushes were bright green and full and the orange lights just made it so festive and purty.

On the way back to the car... too bad the camera doesn't reflect it.

Look at the creepiness in the this one. LOL It was awesome!! Loves!

Jacob was exhausted and tired after 2 nights so, this ends 2 nights of gohls, monsters, ghosts and treats. Tomorrow is Monday and are back to work.

I hope everyone had a great Halloweeny weekend!!!

Please, follow me. I love comments let me know what you think about my projects.
