This glass is fabush, I wish you could feel it.

Topiary, all I had to do was paint the base;

Candle holder which will be something else;

I painted it light beige and left the copper inside. Any ideas? email me

It's been a while...

I'm in the process of looking for new employment so unfortunately I haven't had much time for blogging. Life get's in the way! I'm sure you're well familiar w/ this movement AGH!

She is a beauty and smells delish. No dents, no scratches and she is all mine. Don't be mad, but I will paint her flowers away. It's just not my steelo =)


Metal Mirror I must paint!

 The silver metal does not go well on that space. So white she will be.

Kitchen door that needs painting, since I can't find the perfect glass door to put there;

Bdrm dresser that will go white; because once you go white you never go back. =)

Another unfinished project;

I reclaimed it from the one of the boys room. I have to remove all those spiderman stickers, sand prime and paint. I'm not certain what color to give it yet.

I still have a desk, shelf and more that needs to be painted in the garage. 

My deadline is end of October or by end of 2010... LOL

Kitchen Re-Do

This is what my kitchen looks like...

I don't really have any complaints besides the fact that it's small and I cook large meals otherwise organizing it makes it more efficient, I guess LOL.

I still have more cleaning up to do on the backsplash

It's going to be a challenge and I know I can do it! I can't wait till it's completed.

I've been inspired by a lot of you to dress up my tiny kitchen. I will repaint the cabinets, add new hardware, and tile the back splash.Eventually, probably winter time when flooring is cheaper, I might do that.

I have some sample tiles that I bought from HD last night and I'm leaning towards a simple matte white tile. Since the counter top is tan ( if I decide to keep it) LOL.

I'm currently researching different methods to accomplish these things ( I'm one of those people that read non stop until I think I have as much information as possible, which usually means, I have too much information LOL).

I really want to open up the kitchen some so, that it blends in nicely w/ the dark dining room that I lurve and will not change for a while. I'm all into the organic colors lately and I have to tell you it's made a difference on the boys and I. I feel more Posh! HAHA Who knows why but it feels uncluttered and comfortable.

I'm still considering the counter tops, it's more then I'd like to spend but we'll see specially since I tend to find everything at giveaway prices LOL

I've considered stainless, hmmm but I've read they are tricky to cut

I thought of subway tiles, but since I lived in NY and remembered that thats more of bathroom tile, I can't get over the thought that I would have bathroom tiles in my kitchen ( I know I know) I can't help what I get stuck on LOL

DYI

I had some leftovers from other projects, so as I was bagging garage sale items and cleaning out drawers,. closets and such... I had an idea to make this.

Here's what I used.

2 metal planters
Burlap
Styrofoam (left over from online orders)
Knife
Fake tall grass

This is how I put it all together;

I cut the foam to perfectly fit in the planter.

Make sure it fits nice and taught, to avoid shifting;

Cut a 3 in. long piece of foam to fit on the inside. Again the bigger the more secure the grass will be.
Fill the lower tin w/ the burlap. (I didn't secure mine, I figured I can change it according to mood)

It's nice for filling in gaps in or around furniture.
